The Macpherson's restaurant name traces back to the extraordinary Scottish woman, Emilia Macpherson, who lived in Naples in the second half of the nineteenth century.

Emilia was the manager of the hotel that, at the time, bore her name: Macpherson's Pension Britannique.

Thanks to her strong personality and her talent, she transformed the pension into one of the most renowned hotels in the city, especially among the most demanding international clients.
