The Gesù Nuovo church has always fascinated scholars and art historians. On the diamond-shaped stones covering the façade, it is possible to see arcane symbols. For centuries, these signs have been surrounded by the mystery. There was talk of occult practices and alchemical secrets, but only in 2005 a scholar disclosed the truth: the engravings are associated with the seven musical notes: the façade of the church is actually the great musical score of an ancient melody. The mystery of this melody seems to fill the suite, also thanks to the works of the three Neapolitan artists who were inspired by the myth. On the walls, you can admire the works of Ludovico Fusco and Daniele Pergreffi. Both, with different techniques, recall the geometric facade of the Gesù Nuovo. Stefano Parisio Perrotti, with his lava stone sculpture, transforms the times of music into three-dimensional figures.
